Koa's been quiet on the walk over, largely because he's worried if he starts talking about anything he will burst like a dam. Now as he slides into the seat across from Zavien the young man remains preoccupied, only catching the tail end of the comment about eating far too many eggs. "Hmm?" Blinking a moment, he pulls his focus back to Zavien, a chagrined half-smile crooked on his face. "Oh, sorry. Not sure yet," Koa replies distractedly, fidgeting with the wound-up boxing wraps on the table before him.
"Hey, Zav, about earlier..." Exhaling, Koa shakes his head, still frowning down at the lengths of fabric which he has begun to anxiously unspool. "That shit I said about rank? That wasn't cool." Finally looking up at his friend, the young Dragoon meets Zavien's eyes, his expression earnest and sincere. "You're one of the best Dragoons - and people - I know, and I hope you never feel like you don't deserve to be here. And if I say shit that suggests otherwise again, you have my full permission to punch me right in the face."
