Abraia smiled and saw the flashes of light in his hand. She grew aware of the potential that thrummed heavy in him, the beast that stirred and churned and raged to be unleashed. Her fingers involuntarily clenched into balls before she moved, her heart rate rising.
“Nice,” she said, still staring at him, as she studied his positioning. “But I think I can keep up.” She stepped back and adopting the battle ready posture, her body seemed to melt into a low crouched position and she moved with the economy of a prey twice her size.
Abraia grinned and charged at him, beginning with a feint towards his stomach, just to see how fast he was. Then she went for a punch to the side. She was a participant, going all out not because of pride but because of excitement. She was always eager to watch the best of people perform when cornered and she knew this was going to be one fight to watch.
