Abraia growled as she landed on the floor, his body on top of her for the briefest of moments. She was barely able to get her hand pressed against him before he pushed himself up and rolled away from her, giving her a chance to catch her breath and get to her feet. She grinned at him, dismissing a small icy flake that fell on her face before setting herself to another position, staring at him all the time.
“Oh, quick enough I’d say,” she retorted as he told her that she was fast and nodded at him slightly. But before she could decide what to do next, he sent another shower of completely non-threatening sparks in her direction and she blanched and put her hands up to her face. That moment was all he needed to come at her again, his tackle already in motion. She prepared for that, and if he wanted to take her down again, she would be prepared to make it as difficult as possible for him. She wriggled free so that she didn’t go down.
Then she tried to kick him in the back.
