Jack is fashionably late, and they can thank a delayed shipment for that. But now it's snug aboard The Ark and ready to go to more nefarious exotic places, and the captain is free to attend this little get together. He doesn't honestly care about the Stargate either way, despite having helped to spruce it up a bit, but like most of those gathered, he's always happy to see if anything interesting will happen.
