Flora doesn't say that it was only luck that had brought Rae down, though her thoughts suddenly wilt in the face of Jack's praise like flowers when given too much moisture. "Mmm." She hums noncommittally under her breath, before shivering as beads of water trickle down the channel of her spine. It has a small gasp escaping her lips, pressed against the blue of the captain's sweater though they were, as her thoughts suddenly illuminate with a bright burst of light.
"Oh yeah? Like who?" Glancing toward the door as if the sort of person who had work to do might come knocking, Flora shoots the captain a crooked smile as she rolls her eyes. It would have been all too easy to beg Jack to stay, to strip off the rest of her clothes and ask him if he'd really done as thorough a job of making sure she was both as cleaned and healed as he could make her. What kept her from letting those thoughts shimmer with the sorts of colours that she could force into them, was knowing that while Jack might have found his way quickly to her side when she'd returned from the Greatwood (the swiftness of which certainly had gone unnoticed), that didn't mean his afternoon was just free.

She'd invested years and gods knew how many resources into Tal's business; there was no reason she shouldn't reap the rewards of that, especially if it meant she didn't have to solve puzzles in the cold. "Mmm, I think what you meant to say was wow, my girlfriend is the best and when I come home tonight I'm absolutely going to take her out for dinner."
