"Maybe it means I can have you both at the same time?" Flora says thoughtfully, setting down her piece of parchment and stretching out her hands toward Jack, keen to feel his still bed-warmed skin beneath her palms. Having already set the kettle to boil water for coffee, there's nothing to do but wait—and harass Jack of course—such that it's with mischief blooming in her mind that the queen snakes her arms around the captain's waist.
"Rambling?" Scoffing under her breath—not that he was wrong, Flora would be the sort to just go on and on about it, especially if she had nothing better to do than wax poetic about her feelings for the captain—then queen rolls her eyes. "How dare you. Besides," shrugging against him, her smile turns a touch knowing. "I figure it'll come in handy, us being able to talk across distances." Sure the pair were now together more than they used to be, but duties and obligations on both sides still kept them apart a fair amount. "And now you can tell me just how much you're thinking about me when we're apart." Her smile blooms in tandem with her thoughts; for however playfully said it might have been, she did actually want the captain to write to her when they weren't together.
"And don't think I won't know if you give it to Bassian to write to me instead." Flora warns, peeling herself away from Jack as the kettle begins to whistle.
