She made a beeline towards one of the strawberries, snagging it while Fangorn and Sila amused themselves. The acceptance seemed easygoing, and she handed over the magic eight ball to its first victim. Opting for a chair at the table, she pondered over the complexities of something so simple and mundane; amusing, at the very least, when it really didn’t matter. “Do you believe in all these fortune things?” She waved her arm in the air for emphasis, uncertain if she did or not – believing in carving her own fate along the wake of so many disasters. And starting within Caido, uprooted for the third time, she’d had no idea that her pathway would’ve led here; amidst wars, ruin, death, and demigodhood. It’d only ever been just survival.
