I shouldn't laugh, but I know I'm a failure in your eyes
Pinching at the bridge of his nose, Ronin forces out another long breath before letting his hand drop and glancing tiredly across at Flora. "If I were infected, why would I have brought you back to Torchline instead of trying to nudge you towards The Family?" He asks, the roots of incredulity starting to burrow through his words, though he does his best to keep his voice soft.
"If you want me to prove it, I'll find some void creature and show you how much it wants to bite my face off. We'll have to go outside of Torchline for that, though." Given, you know, the whole region is protected from the void.
Getting to his feet and glancing helplessly around, he gestures to the door. "If you don't trust that it's safe here, I can help you to get home? Or if you don't want me around, I can find someone you'd prefer?" He'll do whatever she wants, so long as she gives him a tiny bit of something to work with.
