The fact that Ronin appears to be upset with her is going to fuel more than a few conversations between Flora and Mateo in the future—don't worry, they'll be sending Elizabeth's therapist bills directly to you, Ronin and Remi—but for the time being she merely meets his stare with a pointed one of her own. "Sunjata was infected and he went with you to Starfall, right?" It's a shockingly good point, one that clearly has Flora surprised given the way her eyebrows raise. "Maybe you still hate my mom enough to want to make her look bad in the Family's eyes or something." Okay, less of a good point.
Scowling at the idea of leaving Torchline, Flora looks sharply away from the Knight, not wanting him to see the indecision that furrowed her brow. What she wanted, regardless of whether or not she now thought she could fully trust him, was Jack. Only...only she couldn't go to him like this. Not wild and wired, not a broken shell of the girl he'd fallen in love with; not so soon after coming back from the dead, anyway.
"Can you walk me home?" Flora's expression softens as she glances over her shoulder at Ronin, her fingers anxiously smoothing the furs over her knees.
