Purple tinged the horizon, which lightened with each passing second. Alys hadn't realized so much time had passed, but now it was time she returned to the Peregrine. She hoped she hadn't worried Tal by being out so late. It wasn't common for her to spend the night away from their shared space. Honestly, he'd probably get a kick out of the way she'd passed the time.
"Goodbye," Alys said, waving to her new friend and smiling at the strange farewell. The woman had been a little odd, perhaps, but in an endearing kind of way. Alys wondered if she'd see Nova again. She rather hoped so; it was kind of nice to be around someone so vibrant and bubbly for a bit.
For now, though, it was time to return to the Peregrine for some much-needed sleep.
