"General it is," Alys agreed, finally content to finish her shuffling by cutting the deck and setting it aside. Flora's adoration filled her senses, and she wondered vaguely if that was what she felt like when thinking about Tal. The captain and the queen were a cute pair, even if Jack was a bit surly; it seemed, even from a brief time with them, that they cared for one another deeply. Even if she couldn't get a read on Jack, Flora's love and devotion shone brightly enough for the both of them.
Focusing her attention on the task at hand, Alys drew a card and nearly laughed. It wasn't Death, but it was close enough that she thought the captain might actually get up and walk away. "The Hanged Man," she said, using her illusion magic to bring the image on the card to life. A man hung upside down, suspended by one leg. "Being suspended in time and space. Finding new perspectives. If this is a new relationship, this might be a time of learning one another more deeply. Allow yourself this time, and it will strengthen the relationship."
