It staunches the response he originally had on his lips, and for a moment he’s overcome with a touch of greed as Danta’s tail curls around his leg and Asta’s winds around his in turn, arms returning around his shoulders tightly as they withdraw and he presses his forehead to the blonde’s, careful to not knock his horns into Danta’s brilliant diamond, humming a soft laugh in response to the comment of hazards.
As for icing sugar, though, and finding an excuse, Astaroth releases him to let his dark gaze flit toward the sugar on the shelf, nodding with that same warm smile. “The sweeter the better, mm?” He touts playfully despite how he nods. “It could not hurt, I am sure.” He steps over to collect the sugar, casting a curious glance around for anything else that might explain why they’d been gone for so long, before finding nothing himself. He turns back to his lover and gestures for the door. “After you, darling.”
