"...right." The word comes tight and quiet as he chases away the swell of emotion unleashed by Hotaru’s name in the back of his mind. He forces it all down—for her sake—hoping not to add to the swirl of panic he can feel vibrating through her.

Opening his mouth, Remi found no words forthcoming as the Remedy explained. Monstrous? Inhaling stiffly, before straightening, Remi presses a kiss against Isla's forehead. "Hey," trying to force her eyes to meet his, the Bastion gives his head a small shake, offering her a reassuring smile. "It's going to be alright. Ever has been fine for seasons now, right?"
