It's the subtle slip of the other man's accent that gives it away in the end, Danta frowning gently as he watches Asta potter around the room - cloak, basket, tea, and finally towards him. For his part, the Maverick is perched more or less on the edge of the sofa and sitting up straight, feeling the parts of him that want to shriek with radiating pain start to relax at last. Even more so as he's offered the two pill bottles, Danta considering both for a moment before opting for two of each, dosage be damned.

Yeah, actually," he says, abandoning the medicine for now to let long fingers skate up along Asta's good shoulder to cup his cheek, gazing down at him with weary sorrow all too evident on his face. "I need you to come back from wherever it is you've gone," he murmurs. "Please," he adds. "It's just the two of us up here. I'm not going to hurt you."
