If only the butcher knew the in depth feelings around feeding that Danta harbors, perhaps he could have alleviated it sooner. But he hasn’t, and for now it’s merely an easy phrase to offer, not understanding the implications until his lover is sagging against him, boneless.
The butcher keeps him upright, arms winding around him once they’ve finished massacring whatever was left of the wrangler once they’d gotten their hands onto him (and into him). And while the Maverick tries to swipe away the blood and thanks him, it’s with a soft and breathy chuckle that leaves Astaroth as he noses his way in to pepper a bloody kiss to the smears along his jaw. “You’re welcome. And thank you for this perfect surprise.” Nothing but praise drips from the butcher’s bloodstained tongue. He continues to pepper him with kisses until he’s satisfied, withdrawing to glance at the body.
“If you would like, you can take a quick nap as I clean up.” Purring, his tail weaves behind him contently. “You may want the energy for later…” Tipping his lover a wink, the butcher lets him think on that as he begins to try and untangle himself in a way that keeps Danta upright still.
