Sohalia was excited by her growing ability, due in no small part to her shift’s instincts. She was not what one would call a master huntress, by any stretch of the imagination, but she was eager to learn, and she lived for external validation. Sah’s praise of her efforts went a long way towards boosting her spirits, and bolstering the growing friendship between the two.

When it was her turn again, Soh slunk into the trees, this time focusing on where her scent would be going. Careful to stay downwind, she crept closer and closer, using all that Sah had taught her. But just as she was about to pounce, the hybrid whirled to face her, staring into the bushes and locking eyes. Just for fun, Soh pounced anyway, landing in front of Sah with a rush of excitement down the bond. Was that better, with the wind? she asked before taking her place in the center.
