Still looking closely at the vest, she tilted her head. "Did you make it? Or did a god? My mom could probably make something like that." She didn't mention exactly who her mom was, somehow expecting everyone to know she was related to the goddess purely by her brilliance (and starlight freckles). Instead, Nova analyzed how the design could be improved upon. It didn't have enough color for her liking, and it would be much cooler if it zapped with rainbows or added glitter.
Somewhat distracted by the other thoughts, Nova delayed responding, glancing up from her leaning position to say, "But you did dodge." Her eyes were wide with innocence, perplexed on why something that could have happened should matter. At least Tal could find comfort knowing that her attentions were no longer on the vibrant deadly flora.
