It's as relieving to hear as it is impossible for his subconscious to believe whilst he's in the throes of a nightmare, but Danta appreciates it regardless - more than his lover will ever know. Winding his arms around Asta properly and arching into the fiery heat of his touch, he doesn't know how long they remain there in the comfortable silence of each other's embrace, but it's more than enough to slow the thunder of his pulse to something steadier, and by the time Danta starts to peel himself away, it's to unfasten the muzzle around Asta's jaw.
"Thank you," he murmurs, casting the contraption aside and leaning in to claim his mouth in a soft and greedy kiss, shifting to sit more comfortably astride him. "I didn't realise how much I needed to hear that." The words are mumbled against Asta's lips, though Danta is soon kissing away any response he might try to give as if determined to write the words again against his tongue.
