Was that a sigh of relief escaping the pale woman? In the rain it was hard to tell, though her tail had gone from cautiously stiff to drooping, actually dragging a bit through the mud and withered grass.
"Alright. Let's head back."
Making ready to take off again, Maea paused with her arms outstretched as she caught the question of lodging. Casting a glance at the woods, then back at Thalassa, she smiled almost shyly. "If you don't mind company, I'll stay the night... Just in case that thing comes back." Not because Thalassa couldn't handle herself. Just, with everything going on, Maea was a touch protective over her friends. She didn't have that many, and each one was precious beyond words.
