Thal will definitely be asking about the Sparkbird later, but for now she shoots Asta a raised eyebrow that's sufficient enough to say, Suuuure, with about as much belief as a grain of salt. His injury hadn't looked like something he'd just brush off, although she won't stand between an Ancient and their meal. That doesn't mean she can't enjoy Danta's banter.
Flipping a dagger in her hand, she points it behind her at the chatty boyfriends. "Okay, boys. If you keep talking, we won't find anything." But the teasing in her eyes and voice gives away how much she enjoys the attention. She then sets off on her own, sticking to the thicker section of trees that seem like a good place to hide a burrow, although she finds no such signs.
The first of them to discover anything, Dantalion finds a pile of excrement that tells him it's close by, and shortly after Astaroth spots tracks on the ground. Both lead to a clearing with a den tucked into the base of an old creaking tree; however, apparently the badger has decided to take advantage of the new Flowerbirth blooms, gorging itself on the nearby berry bushes. It's found snoring in a mixture of blueberries and blackberries that coat the white sections of its coat a purplish color. The approach of people disturbs its food coma, awakening it with all the rage of a hangry, possessive girlfriend (sorry boys). It rolls over its protruding belly and onto its paws, letting out a deep growl of warning to the hunters who'd disturbed its nap.
Hearing the noise echo through the trees, Thal curses softly under her breath. She obviously isn't the first to the party, but that doesn't mean she's going to miss out on the fun. Her feet carry her swiftly to join the boys just as the badger lashes out with a paw full of sharp claws.
