He doesn't fully grasp the issues currently plaguing his friends' relationship - call him a terrible person, but he's juggling too many personal crises to fully invest in theirs - but he knows that Zavien wants to leave Stormbreak while Lena does not, and can only imagine how difficult that decision was for both.

He's holding a basket of ube donuts that a friendly neighbor had thrust in his arms; now he brandishes it in offering. "Do you have some time to catch up? I brought snacks."
