Alys was nervous.
She’d been so excited to receive the quest from Mort to get Sascha back that she hadn’t stopped to consider the implications of what she’d been asked to do. And at the top of her list was to understand what it would be like for Sascha, coming back from the dead - which meant finding people who had done it and asking them about it. And the first name that came to mind was Zavien - a man who was so recently returned that she wasn’t sure he’d had time to recover from the trauma of it all, and of whom she would now be tasked with asking the impossible.
She’d been vague in asking him to meet with her, but had mentioned that she needed help with a quest from Mort. And that seemed to have at least gotten her to the part where they had scheduled a meeting in Sidhe Village, made a purchase of a few snacks, and made their way out to the woods. If they were going to talk, she reasoned, they could at least do so in enjoyable surroundings - and if they found a Vi’s Rose while they were at it, all the better.
”So,” she said as they walked beneath the red river floating above. ”Thank you for meeting with me. I know I was a little vague on the details, but I thought this request demanded to be made in person.”
