Alys was many things: the Fateweaver, a seer, an artist, Tal's partner. But there was one thing that she was decidedly... not. And that one thing was a poet.
She sat beneath a tree in Ludo's Woods, cross-legged with a journal in her lap. She'd been trying to write a poem to Vox for the better part of an hour and had come up with nothing that she particularly cared for. Of course, that was hardly a surprise - after everything the Family had done, after everything they'd taken from her, she wasn't exactly inclined to write something flattering. But then, if she didn't write something after the broadcast that had instructed them to, would that put even more of a target on her back? And if she didn't write something nice - or at least not bad - would that be just as much of a problem?
Soft voice in your mind,
