Alys’s question brought a smile to Zavien’s face, and Alys was relieved when she felt the pulse of affection towards his companion. At least she could leave this interaction not feeling like it had been entirely negative, and perhaps some lighthearted discussion could help to lift the shadows that still swirled around Zavien’s heart.
