“Oh, and later…” He leans in toward her, craning low enough that the words are just between them, in a movement that appears affectionate despite it being all to share gossip. “She suggested that perhaps I ought to send criminals through the portal to the Climb and abandon them there.” Just like what happened to him as punishment.
