Safrin
Safrin’s smile turned razor-sharp, her amusement curling like stardust in the space between them. "Oh, those compasses," she echoed, her voice a decadent hum as her fingertips played idly at the base of his throat, tracing the faintest line of heat against his skin. "You mean the ones created for the Order? Infused with magic so potent that even time itself barely erodes their accuracy? Of which only a handful were ever made? Those compasses?"
The warmth of her mind unfurled against his own like the slow build of a supernova—cosmic heat licking at the edges of his thoughts, teasing, intoxicating. "That’s quite the request, Jack" she purred, dragging his name out like a caress. "Something like that would take work. Real effort." Her hand slipped downward, skating over his chest, only to press her palm flush against the firm plane of his stomach. "I suppose I could help you get there faster...if you're willing, of course."
The implication hung between them, but Safrin’s mind painted the real answer before he could even speak. It wasn’t just tasks and trials that would earn him what he sought. No, there were other ways. Other means. Ways far more enjoyable, far more consuming than running errands in her name. The heat of her thoughts swelled, her cosmic presence pressing suggestively against his, wrapping around his own telepathy like a lover’s embrace, the stars in her mind flaring brighter, pulsing in time with the way her nails dragged lightly down his torso.
"It's up to you how important it is to be able to find your way home." The flick of her lashes was coy, but the weight of her suggestion was anything but. He could play her game. Or he could take the long, arduous path of earning his prize the traditional way.
Jack can 1. give Safrin what she wants and receive a basic item now. 2. give Safrin what she wants AND be given tasks in order to get an upgraded item when he returns, or 3. complete a regular quest for a basic item.
