Maea
And I never know what to say
'Til I'm already walking away
Morning dawned golden and fresh upon the Greatwood. A rosy blush dyed the treetops where new leaves budded, their green a fresh and optimistic hue characteristic of the spring season. A cool mist crept among the paths of the silvan town where many still slept nestled into fyra and blankets, safe and warm and for the moment without a care in the world.
A wraith drew past their treetop houses, haunting the streets in search of the training grounds. The path kept twisting under her feet, spitting her back to the outskirt of the settled area as if the Sidhe Village itself was trying her resolve to remain in the woodland realm. An hour and a half they'd been at this, and it was definitely testing Maea's patience, if not her conviction. The Ancient woman was stubborn, and in dire need of a workout.
"Please, I just want to train," she pleaded, not sure to whom. The path, the village, the gods or the forest itself? To her surprise, it worked. Just like when Remi had shown the way the other day, the light seemed to fall onto the path slightly different, and suddenly she could see the roped off area with its trampled ground and well worn training dummies in the periphery of her vision. Mumbling a quiet 'thank you' to whomever had opened the way, she hurried to reach it before that unseen something changed its mind.
At least she was warmed up. Making a point of stretching anyway, Maea was glad for the new clothes that let her move with ease. In a dark shirt of a faded black - or was it blue? purple, maybe? - and black leather trousers that creaked softly as she moved, she felt comfortable enough to try some movements made impractical and downright indecent in a skirt. Slowly sinking into splits, then raising herself in a handstand to repeat the motions, it was pleasing to feel the strength of her body respond to any thought or whim; the extended break from training over the past few seasons hadn't been completely undone.

Wanna punch you in the face
But I won't, but I might, but I won't
