Maea had divulged not one but two deaths and rebirths, and while she didn’t seem to regret coming back, Alys had certainly given the Ancient plenty to think about with her questions. Ronin was the only one who seemed truly at peace with what had happened to him, and it gave Alys hope that maybe she was doing the right thing after all.
