RONIN
THE WHITE KNIGHT
Taking another sip of his drink to give Alys time to digest all that he's said, Ronin is ready when her next questions come, the Knight flashing her something of a wry smile in response. "It was, but not because I had been dead, necessarily," he explains slowly. "There was the initial excitement, of course - reuniting with everyone who had been waiting for me, joining the dots between when I had died and when I came back, but it was more of an adjustment period than anything. It didn't last long."
Chuckling, Ronin runs a finger around the rim of his glass. "No, my problem was that I'd been given an entirely new body when I came back, which I don't think is the case for a lot of people. Some changed, I know, but I was completely new. Weak as a kitten. That was tough, to not be able to do all the things I'd been used to." Like running a lap around a field, or picking up a heavy bag.

now don’t you lose hope
I swear I never dream that we’re alone
I swear I still believe but I don’t know
