Character of the Season

Frail in body but dangerously quick of mind, Nikandr is the sort of character who proves that curiosity can be just as perilous as any weapon. A necromancer, inventor, and problem-solver with more ambition than self-preservation, Niki approaches the world like a puzzle box begging to be opened, even when what’s inside has teeth. Blunt, dry-witted, fiercely independent, and carrying a history best left partially buried, he has a knack for making even failure feel fascinating. Whether he’s raising the dead, moving across Caido to King's End, or experiencing a hangover for the first time, Nikandr brings a wonderfully strange spark to Caido, and we can’t wait to see what trouble his brilliant mind wanders into next.

Only strength

Kaiden smiled widely at the praise Hadama had begun to bestow, only for an even grander voice to emerge. Vox! The mershark called out, delighted. Thank you, both! Hadama and the Family liked their poem! That was wonderful news.

Even if they didn't understand why Hadama suddenly wishes to leave, the mershark nodded. Okay. Still riding their high and pulsing warmth through the bond, Kaiden followed behind the King as they left the area. Everything seemed right with the world, even if it could be more purple. But the mershark was sure that their Friends were already hard at work fixing that. They couldn't wait to see the results.
