Twisting her hands together, rubbing a thumb over the scarred skin, Maea understood his reluctance. Some things did not get better from ruminating over them, and benefitted from forgiving and forgetting about. From the look of things however, Zavien was doing neither of those – and she knew painfully well where that might lead a person.
