Digging in his shirt pockets, he tosses Vesper the little packet of snapdragon jewels, where the demigod will find three left. But Mateo has other tricks and treats available in this room, and he moves to a small drawer to pull out a small baggie of white power - dreamdust - and a few tiny, vibrant crystals intended to be dissolved on the tongue - thirdeye. "These I made myself. I can vouch for the quality." And now it's Mateo's turn to sound boastful.
