He was quick, and this time Maea was out of luck. The headbutt connected just high enough on her shoulder that it overthrew her balance. Down she went in a sprawl of limbs, only to roll over onto her other side with a flick of the striped tail.
It twitched testily for a moment, as she contemplated retaliation. Then a yawn overtook her, opening the jaws wide enough for her full array of impressive teeth to show. Blinking slowly at Sah, the tigress twisted around on the ground and swatted the air between them in a half playful, half lazy manner; if he wanted to keep playing he'd have to come closer. And maybe be prepared for an impromptu nap in the middle of a wrestle.
Not a bad prospect, in her mind, and it was a nice way to idle away the afternoon. By the time both of them had tired themselves out the sun would be close to setting, and the goodbyes were said in amicable silence. Some things really needed no words to be conveyed.
