Settled so comfortably in Danta’s lap, the butcher’s praise comes in an easy shift of his tone. “Have you informed Charlie of what she looks like, so there are no surprises?” They both know he means Morax. And while they couldn’t control what everyone else did, they could hope that spreading a bit of information to those trusted meant that if she were found, she’d be left utterly and completely alone.
