"Good quiet or bad quiet?" he asks, the furrow to his brow something subtle that nevertheless begs to be among the buildings and the boardwalk, to leech every bit of missed news, every change and altercation built on bribery and violence.
Turning, eventually, back towards the large and upright ribcage, Jack scoffs out a laugh and inclines his head. "It's got your best interests at heart, one might say. If your intention is to learn to dodge, at least." And he's absolutely right about it's motivating learning curve.
