The vision would of course be limited given that we're making them, and not a god. But I think even that minor edge could be beneficial. He turned the paper around, showing a few additions. Even a few feet might grant the team just enough visibility to doge an incoming attack. Or to ensure that they didn't step on anything dangerous, though that would require bending down some. The goal was victory, yes. But surviving to make it home was just as critical.
