Danta hopes they cut a threatening figure in the dead of night (or early morning, whatever); no one needs to know that, for the most part, they are just two idiots doing their best. Either way, he contents himself in lurking on Asta's shoulder, cawing an agreement about Moira and continuing to fuss at the butcher's appearance before eventually settling down to enjoy the steady sway of his footsteps. Much more awake now, he glances swiftly across the pathway and up at the sky for anything interesting or otherwise out of place, and it's only as Asta diverts himself from the wagon trail that he finally hops down.
Shifting as he goes, his boots land softly in the earth without missing a beat, Danta falling easily into step with his lover as he straightens up. "Probably a good thing Moira isn't here, in retrospect," he says, stretching his arms above his head and flashing a fanged grin at Asta. "I'd have ended up fighting her for your attention."
Stepping a little closer to link his arm with the other man, the Maverick turns to press a quick kiss to his cheek. "Thank you," he purrs. "For coming out with me, and bringing me home."
