Unlike Maea, Danta's experience of will-o-wisps is precisely zero, and as the blinking little lights and chirping voices begin to materialise nearby, he swats out a hand towards one automatically, like a cat being enticed to play. And were it not for the pale Ancient calling out to him, for better or worse he might well have followed the lights into the endless labyrinth of the Greatwood. Never to be seen again, perhaps? Or more likely just to be spat out somewhere entirely random.
Either way, with the wolves still circling, barely seen through the trees, as Maea's voice hits the air, Danta considers themselves mostly alone for now. Or at least, not actively being attacked or set upon. Not yet, and not by wolves. "Oh?" His eyebrows raise and he turns back to face her, jaw feathering, hands clenched into careful fists. "You want to ask me something?" he echoes - because of all the things he might have expected, a question isn't one of them.
