Sohalia waved, and Hadama did not wave back. He met her gaze, his expression unchanging. Unreadable. This was Flora's party, after all, and it was neither the time nor the place for any drama not sanctioned by the Doubletake herself. He turned away, and it was then that Maea's wave drew his attention.
A small greeting, but given what had just transpired between her and the leader(s?) of the Hollowed Grounds he hesitated for a long moment and a sip of his own drink before shifting away from the bar - glass in hand - and drifting closer. He worked his way around other Merfolk chatting amiably with each other and the humans across the counter until he was as close as he could be to the pale woman and still be in the sea before he raised his voice - and his glass - for her attention.
