She bows to no one.
The shift in singing seems to grab at something in her chest. It's not a 'command' for Thal, but almost like a plea, something that begs her to help against the onslaught of attacks that whittle down the villi. She grits her teeth at the sound, holding her fire for a second as she resists the urge to stand against the others, to assist in whatever objective the specter is trying to achieve.
The physical reminder of Asta at her back pulls her mind back to him, to protecting her friend in the midst of so many enemies(?). Thal squeezes her eyes shut as the sound continues, resonating with the song she'd been humming earlier, the one that twists with purple tones and sharp teeth. It beckons and pulls and tugs at her to act while she tries desperately to think of her only purpose.
Feeling like she's being torn in two, Thal releases the hold on her magic as if she's finally at a burnout, but as her arms fall, the fire spreads in all directions, somehow weakening as it approaches the villi. Surprised herself, she holds her breath, looking to see what the outcome may be.
Thalassa accidently lets out a weak wave of fire in all directions. (And if it misses the villi... oops >.>)
