Really, when she laid it all out like that, it sounded ludicrous even to her ears. Her cheeks reddened as she realized how completely insane she must sound - although Talyson , to his credit, seemed to follow along just fine (more or less). Aside from a brief moment of confusion about whose sister they were talking about, they managed to get to the crux of Sohalia's problem quickly enough. "Yes," she said. "He knows. He helped."

She might have said more, but Flora chose that moment to call out over the ruckus of the bar, and Soh watched her disappear into the back with two Ancients. She couldn't even hazard a guess as to what they might be doing back there, but it was, after all, Flora's party. But if Flora had made sure to tell Soh not to use the back room...

But before she could think too much about it, Vesper was calling her name, and she looked over in surprise as the man beckoned her towards the crowd that had gathered around Kaisel and Koa. Well, shit. With Flora out of commission, and her chosen trio seemingly in need of assistance, what was Soh to do other than go. "Oh - sorry, Tal," she said, clearly distressed at having to leave her friend. "Can we catch up later? It looks like Vesper needs help."

And then she was gone, slipping behind the bar.
