His heads swims, stars joining him readily on the sand, and an echoing hum reverberates around him with a peal and and a pressure.

He has enough wherewithal to pray, fear and adrenaline grabbing each other's hands and plummeting into his brain with a desperate attempt to keep him alive. "Get me out," he croaks to the sand, tongue fat in his mouth, the taste of batteries overwhelming despite his thoughts dimming to darkness quickly. He channels for a spirit, almost second nature as bits of him threaten to fail for good.
