Without any real way to communicate he has no way of knowing that the flying deer has fucked off to his own devices, which means that unfortunately he's going to be waiting for some time for his aerial ploy to pay off.
The sound of his snowball hitting armor is frustrating, but not entirely unexpected. Deimos' return volley is swift and expected; the sphere glides past the barricades, but Koa ducks and moves quickly enough for it to land beside him, leaving the boy unscathed. Grinning fiercely at Pipsqueak, Koa gathers up two more snowballs and pops out from behind his shield, yeeting them toward the General and his infant in hopes of sending them over the edge of the scale.
