He did do a good job - but as Danta doesn’t rise to the bait he’s offering in being bratty and perfectly terribly normal, the butcher finds himself softening out of it just because it was never fun if Danta didn’t play along. Which is probably for the best, as it turns out. Pacified only by the offer of the Pina colada once more so he can down the rest of it, his fingertips drawing idle patterns into his lover’s calf and shoulder.
Then, asking about dancing, he feels the second Danta perks up and he focuses back on the crowd that appears to be doing some version of a dance. Unlike one he’s ever seen. “I can see that.” He agrees, flashing a touch of snark even if the smile that flares after is warm and adoring. “Perhaps you could show me, darling? I will have to learn sometime, will I not?” And while he can see people dancing in the background, he doesn’t know what it all entails.
And when he does find out, well.. We’ll get there when we get there.
