He snorted, shaking his head as he maneuvered on, swift and keen in the snowdrifts as if born to the winter habitat, instead of finding solace in it. “You would not have to live in Halo to join. And I have new people coming in all the time.” Like Colt – whom he figured would probably be about the same level of experience. “No. I would not offer it to you if I thought you would be in the way.” He just knew he’d have to be patient, a little more enduring, when it came to those who willingly flung themselves around when it wasn’t necessary.
Zuriel gave another snort, and for her appeasement, he unfurled a treat from his pockets. While she snagged and ate, his brow arched at her intentions and intrigue over armaments. “I have plenty in the armory you can try.” As for the lack of inheriting magic, and just Theea, he still granted her half a grin. “Just means you have other talents.” Magic and spirits and shifts could only do much in the end, regardless - it was about trying, and having enough courage and resolve to strive at all.
