As the burn of alcohol spread like wildfire through her veins, Maea decided that a 'no heartbreak' sign should be tacked onto everything she did from now on. Would Flora object if she stole it and made a necklace out of it? She could nail it above the door to the Treehouse and make it a daily mantra. Hadama and Liam made it easier to embrace, too. Their company was easy and uncomplicated, and she threw herself into it with a determination to forget all else.
