No sooner had the word left her than Koa's lips were on hers, hot and insistent, and everything around her simply ceased to exist. There was no shared history, no my-best-friend-is-your-ex, not even any Family to save Noe from. There was only she and Koa, and the environment in which she was dimly aware of a couch that they could so easily fall onto, lost in one another and the moment.
Sohalia pressed closer to him, her arms snaking up to wrap around his neck, every bit as eager as he was to lose herself in the kiss. Heat flared where her body touched his and pooled low, immediately ignited by this sudden closeness. It was one thing to yearn for Koa for all this time. That was romantic and loving and tender.
