It's only the extended nap aboard the ship that prevents Danta from sinking into a post-dinner lull, especially with the butcher tucked so close and the room around them so comfortable. Shifting unconsciously into the touch of Asta's hand against his side, the Maverick scrunches his nose affectionately as if to tell him there's no need to thank him, especially when some of those things had resulted in them needing to take a breather from the crush of other people.

"Well," he says, "the least I can do in return is try things that you enjoy as well. Hence why you can teach me to ballroom dance when we get back to the Dusklight. We can even dress for the occasion. I'll be on my very best behaviour, I promise."

Almost expecting the kiss before it comes, Danta nevertheless melts forward and against the butcher, fingers tickling across his chest and up around his shoulders, lips and tongue saying more than his clumsy words ever could. "Mm, I absolutely take it as a compliment. Especially knowing how mighty you are." Chuckling and chasing after another kiss, unlike his lover, Danta doesn't care if he knocks wine and plates everywhere, but luckily Asta has already thought of that.
