"Finally decided keeping my head buried and in the dark wasn't doing anyone any favors, me included. So I could use all the practice I can get." His smile is small when he offers it, but it's still there, willing to find something of happiness amid the shadow of all his failures.
"Great," he says with clear relief. "Much as I always enjoy spending time with you, one dragon and some void hounds later and I think I'm ready for home." Not to mention the way the heat makes it feel like certain parts of him might liquify and slide away into nothing, or all the sweat darkening his clothes now. The tidalwave had actually been nice. Swinging the bag up around his shoulders and gripping the pickaxe at his side, Iskra claps Sunjata on the the shoulder with both hands. "Appreciate all your help Sunjata. I'll find some way to help you back soon," he grins, ignoring whatever refusal Sunjata might offer as he and his dog set back home, hand lifted in farewell.
