Hissing out a curse as Deimos vanishes and the daggers fly, Sunjata’s opportunistic and had already mentioned to Ronin he’d be prepared. And the Flood drifts back into his roots, even if everything in Pierce’s face and shape wants him to recoil from it. He forces himself to get through it, to swallow down the nausea that builds in his throat as he takes off from the perch they’d all made on the outskirts.
He darts forward, pulling the two switchblades from his pocket, hoping to follow after Deimos and launch his own blade at the brawler of the Family.
